Full Backyard Remodel Project
This full backyard remodel for Bill and Gigi transformed their outdoor space into a refined, resort-style retreat designed for both relaxation and entertaining. The centerpiece of the project is a thoughtfully designed sunken area that brings together three standout features: a custom water feature, a bespoke fire pit, and a custom outdoor kitchen highlighted by a luxurious quartzite slab.
Natural stone pavers were selected for the flooring, adding timeless elegance and texture while grounding the modern design. Throughout the project, our design team, project managers, and production crew worked closely with Bill and Gigi, maintaining clear communication to ensure every detail reflected their vision.
The finished backyard is a seamless blend of modern white tones, carefully curated materials, and custom craftsmanship—resulting in a cohesive, inviting outdoor space that is both visually striking and highly functional.

Concept & 3D Planning
The project began with an in-depth design phase focused on understanding how the clients wanted to use their backyard. Detailed 3D renderings were developed to define the layout of the sunken fire pit, outdoor kitchen, and family room, while materials, finishes, and elevations were thoughtfully selected.
Site Preparation & Permitting
This phase included removal of the existing turf, trenching for gas and utility lines, demolition of the family room ceiling, and excavation for the sunken fire pit. All required permits were obtained to ensure the project progressed safely and efficiently.
Structural Build & Fabrication
Framing and concrete work established a strong foundation for the space. Custom slabs were fabricated and installed, concrete was poured, and the wood ceiling and coordinated wood elements were constructed to shape the main architectural features of the backyard.
Final Installations & Fire Feature
The final stage brought the design to life with the installation of turf, stepping stones, and the custom fire pit. Finishing details were completed, transforming the backyard into a cohesive, functional, and inviting outdoor living environment.
